Chloe in Pumpkin Earwarmer

Pumpkin Earwarmer Crochet Pattern

Chloe in Pumpkin EarwarmerThis happy little jack-o-lantern earwarmer is perfect for keeping warm this Halloween. It is sized to fit an adult, but can be easily modified to fit a child. In fact, as is, it fits both me and my four-year-old perfectly!
The leaves and vines are optional, but create an illusion of a bow for a girlier version.

The mouth is a little tricky, as you will be slip stitching up the post of some of the double crochets to create the square tooth space.

After the first few groups of 4 SC, you will start to see the vine coil up and take shape.

Sew on the Pieces

Sew on the pieces as you desire. I use a top stitch around the entirety of each applique, centering the nose over one of the ridges and using that to gauge placement of the eyes and mouth.
Placement of the vines and leaves is really a matter of preference, but I use the ends to join them all together first, knotting them and weaving them into the pieces for added stability. Then, I attach them to the hat as one piece.

Please let me know if you find any errors in this pattern, so I can make corrections!
